Hello, I am Kial James...

An accomplished artist, designer, photographer and author based in the picturesque foothill region of Northern California. My work spans commercial, corporate, portrait, and still-life photography, enriched by a strong background in design, web development, and project management, with a career in post-production for media and agency work. With a portfolio featured in numerous magazines, websites, and corporate collateral, my creative works have gained recognition in both digital and print realms, showcased by esteemed media and businesses including AAA, Travel + Leisure, NBC, Costco, Forbes, Getty, F1 Racing, CNN, the State of California, Fox, and at prestigious events like the Sundance Film Festival.

Experienced in both small and large projects, my laid-back yet professional approach enables seamless collaboration with other professionals. My expertise in post-production and project management provides intricate foresight into a project’s outcome, ensuring delivery to the highest standards.

Honored by the California State Assembly and Senator Brian Dahle for my outstanding contributions to art and photography, I have also won the Dr. Leland and Sally Lewis Visual Arts Award. My talent extends beyond the camera lens, earning titles such as Nevada County's Best Photographer and the Parent's Choice accolade for Top Photographer multiple years in a row. My versatile skills encompass commercial photography, portrait, medical, real estate, lifestyle shoots, and more.

I invite you to be part of my image-making journey. I believe that great ideas can come from anywhere, and I enjoy the consultation process: brainstorming, discussing, sharing, and having fun! If you’d like to get in touch, please drop me a line here or via email.
